Hi there,
For TT#21, you have to track a Soundtracker module. It's a .MOD with use
of 4 channels and some special rules (stated below, thanks for the info,
Gryzor). Soundtracker was the first module-tracker around in the scene,
it came in 1987/88 and had 2 sample sets included. So all of the samples
this time are from them, also known as ST-01 and ST-02.
Soundtracker Module limitations :
It's forbidden to use the "evoluted" effects of the trackers!
ie you can just use the original effects available in the 1st Soundtracker:
0 : arpeggio
1 : portamento up
2 : portamento down
C : change volume
D : pattern break
F : set tempo (no CIA allowed! only 01 to 1F)
This way, the mods will really sound like '88 oldies! Do you see? :-)
Also, very important, we can't use more than the original 3 octaves of
Amiga sound/noise/protracker! (C-4, C-5, C-6)
Remember it has to be a 4CH MOD, so forget all envelpoes and pingpong
looping, now we're playing the hard game. :>. Take it as a challenge
to impress on your friends.. (uhh..?). Now go and track, if you need
any other help, the info should be found in tt-rules.txt. If not,
mail me. (axelsson@freenet.hit.fi)
